Alberto Torres García named as head of the Public Credit Unit of the Ministry of Finance

The ITAM community congratulates Alberto Torres García, who earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from ITAM, for his appointment by President Enrique Peña Nieto to lead the Public Credit Unit of the Ministry of Finance.
Torres García holds a master’s and a Ph.D. from New York University. He has worked at the Bank of Mexico, where he started as an economist in the main office of economic research. He takes part in the federal government’s policy guidelines governing financial, fiscal, credit and banking matters.
