We congratulate Dr. Fernando Ramirez Mireles, Professor of the Academic Department of Digital Systems, having received the Best Paper Award for his workDynamic Multiple Access Efficiency of Aloha and UWB with and without Detect and Avoid,which was presented at the 2013 conference in Latincom Santiago de Chile.

Latincom, organized by the IEEE, is the most important conference of communications technology in Latin America. The work presented by Dr. Ramirez was considered the best quality among 45 works 180 authors from Latin America, United States, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
