The ITAM community wishes succes to Francisco Varela, who is assuming the position of Director of Governance at the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO), in which he will be in charge of the areas of Government and Finance, Anticorruption, Justice and Security. Francisco Varela is a former student of the Bachelor of Economics and Political Science from ITAM, as well as a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University.
Francisco Varela is currently a professor in the undergraduate and master's degrees at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Previously, he served as head of the Human Resources Policy Unit of the Federal Public Administration (APF) in the Ministry of Public Function, he has collaborated with the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), with the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Presidency of Mexico.
