Dr. Pedro Agustín Salmerón Sanginés receives Francisco Javier Clavijero award

Congratulations to Dr. Pedro Agustín Salmerón Sanginés, professor in ITAM’s Political Science Department, who has been presented the Francisco Javier Clavijero award for the best research study for his publication titled “1915: México en guerra” (1915: Mexico at War).
Dr. Salmerón has bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in history from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has done postdoctoral studies at the National School of Anthropology and History. He has written eight books, and written introductions to and edited 10 other volumes. He has published 27 academic articles and chapters in multi-author books, as well as numerous texts and articles about Mexican history and historiography in the 19th and 20th centuries.
