Congratulations to Dr. Francisco Pérez González for his appointment, effective July 1, as director of ITAM’s Academic Division of Business Administration and Accounting.

Pérez has a bachelor’s degree in economics from ITAM, and earned a master’s and a doctorate in economics from Harvard University. Since 2008 he has been a finance professor at Stanford University’s business school. He has been a finance professor at Columbia University and The University of Texas at Austin, and a visiting professor at the University of Chicago. Since 2007 he has been a researcher with the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research areas are corporate finance, organizational economics and corporate governance.
