Alumnus earns special mention at 2014 financial markets competition

The ITAM community congratulates Germán Verona Ledezma, who earned a master’s in finance at ITAM, for receiving an honorable mention at the 2014 financial markets competition, which is organized by the Mexican Stock Exchange. He competed in the category of published works with his thesis, “Los impactos del Credit Default Swap (CDS) en el sistema financiero mexicano: Medición del Riesgo de la Deuda Soberana de México a través de un derivado de crédito.”
The contest offers young professionals and researchers the chance to develop ideas that improve research, knowledge and creativity, and which also lead to the inclusion of a greater number of people in the current economic and financial arena where there is a need in the stock markets for the development of innovative, practical and adaptable ideas to contribute effectively to improving the range of brokerage products and services in Mexico.
