Dr. Víctor M. Guerrero Guzmán wins second place in 31st IMEF-EY Financial Investigation Contest

Congratulations to Dr. Víctor M. Guerrero Guzmán, a fulltime professor in the Academic Department of Statistics, who won second place in the category of macro-financing, government and stock market sector in this year’s 31st IMEF-EY Financial Investigation Competition.
His winning paper is titled, “Modeling and prediction of the temporary structure of interest rates of Mexican bonds.” The paper was coauthored with Gina Gorráez Meraz and arose as an extension of the thesis that he directed and with which she earned a master’s degree in risk management at ITAM.
