On May 29, 2015, ITAM had the honor of welcoming the leaders of the institutions that make up the Council of Private Universities and Similar Institutions (CUPRIA) to the council’s 40th regular meeting at the Rio Hondo campus in Mexico City.

ITAM President Dr. Arturo Fernández welcomed the guests from more than 25 allied institutions and special guests. He highlighted the institution’s pleasure in hosting the meeting, noting ITAM’s link to ANUIES (the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education) that goes back more than 30 years.

Jaime Valls Esponda, general executive secretary of ANUIES, stated that the agenda will result in ideas, projects and initiatives that will strengthen this educational subsystem of higher education, and he recognized ITAM as an institution that is committed to academic excellence as well as to the development of professionals capable of contributing to Mexico’s development.
