Congratulations to Osvaldo Cairó, Ph.D., professor in the Computer Science Academic Department, on being granted the 2014 Academic Merit Award by the National Association of Engineering Schools (ANFEI), for his career and outstanding contribution to the training of engineers in Mexico. Cairó was acknowledged during the XLI Engineering National Conference (June 4–6, in Puebla, Mexico).
Cairó holds a degree in Systems University Analysis (National Technological University, Argentina), a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (CINVESTAV-National Politechnical Institute, Mexico), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico).
His topics of interest are: data structures, artificial intelligence, problem resolutions, knowledge-based systems, knowledge acquisition, knowledge modeling, knowledge administration, and intelligent agents.
