The first annual cultural event "China: Tradition and Development in Harmony" was held at the Senate on Tuesday, February 18th. It was organized by the Senate’s Committee of Asia-Pacific Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the PRC in Mexico, and the Chinese Cultural Center in Mexico. This celebration is part of the festivities of the Chinese New Year which begins on January 31 according to the lunar calendar.
