This seminar will explore the use of corporate sustainability as a tool which can help companies to manage and improve their ‘triple bottom line’: economic, environmental, and social and ethical performance. A framework for a Corporate Sustainability Management System (CSMS) will be presented to show how the general principles of sustainable development can be translated into corporate practice. Developed in collaboration with industry, the CSMS provides a systematic, step-by-step guidance for improving the triple bottom line through sustainable economic development and environmental protection, while complying with legislation and encouraging socially and ethically responsible business values.
