This seminar will present a methodological framework and a software tool CHAMP which have been developed to support design and optimisation for improved sustainability of industrial systems. Based on a life cycle approach, CHAMP uses a variety of tools and approaches to enable optimisation of existing and design of new, more sustainable products, processes and activities. Adisa Azapagic es profesora asociada en “Environmental Systems Engineering” en la Universidad de Surrey y Directora de la empresa Industrial Ecology Solutions Ltd, ambas en Inglaterra. La profesora cuenta con una larga trayectoria en investigación, reconocimientos internacionales, más de 100 publicaciones en el medio académico y ha influido significativamente en el área de “Ingeniería para el Desarrollo Sustentable”. La Dra. Azapagic ha sido asignada como profesora visitante del ITAM y colabora con el Dr. Omar Romero en la generación de material académico y de investigación en el área de Desarrollo Sustentable.
