Congratulations to Dr. Rubén Hernández Cid for his appointment as chair of the Academic Department of Statistics, a position that he has held on an interim basis for two years.
Dr. Hernández Cid has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a doctorate in applied mathematics in social sciences from the Université Pierre Mendes-France (Grenoble II) in France.
